This
course examines the computer as a tool for making music. Students
learn how the computer is used for SOUND
SYNTHESIS, digital instrument design and introductory
programming techniques for interactive performance and composition.
Computer and Electronic music compositions will be studied.
Available to Arts and Science students for PROFESSIONAL CREDIT.
The course is offered FALL, SPRING and SUMMER TERM I (June).
Prerequisite for the course is any Computer Science 100 level
course or consent of the instructor [3 hours credit]. See
